Cryoneurolysis is a therapeutic method basing on temporary disruption of neural and motor functions of some parts of the nerve system using extreme cold. It bases on the process of analgesia, during which ice crystals created by a cryosurgery device destroys the elements of the nerve tissue carrying pain information. Cryostimulation is a short term exposure of particular parts of the body (muscle, tendons, ligaments, trigger points) to extremely low temperature (2-4 C° at the skin surface). Optimal temperature for the treatment achieved by the device range between -65°C and -75°C with exposure time from 1 – 12 minutes.
